| Water Crossing Notes: |
None here. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There is a sign for the Mooers Loop Trail off Route 126 just below the Spencer Smith trailhead but unless you're looking for it you may not see it as it is hanging from a tree and facing slightly inward. This section of the Mooers Loop Trail has a few sections of running water and ice due to drainage. Other than that the trails are in good shape. |

I saw 4 on my way out. I don't see any issues if you want to bring a pooch here. |

| Comments: |
All of these trails had spots of ice but they can be avoided by using patches of nearby snow or just by walking through the open woods. Some ice is hiding underneath leaves also so a little care is wise. I did bring Microspikes but they never left the pack. The trails are blazed in orange, blue and red respectively and though many are old the footbed is usually easy to see. A cairn that has to be 9 feet high marks the summit.
While there are not many views to be had here the end of the Spencer Smith Trail has a fine outlook to Bow Lake, where I spent some time in the hazy sun gazing into the distance. I didn't see anyone until my descent when a few folks were coming up. In all a good and quick morning trek. |
