Comments
Comments: Excellent conditions for an enjoyable winter hike. I wore microspikes start to finish. Snowshoes could have been worn along the ridge to knock down the knee deep drifts but it is too scratchy down low. I saw no one wearimng snowshoes today. Around of 6" of new snow along the ridge over a firm base. Lots of ice, some may prefer crampons, especially on the summit cones of Eisenhower and Jackson, but we managed fine with microspikes. There is a steep icy section on Webster - Jackson Tr below Bugle Cliff that is tricky to descend. Thanks William and Kristen for joining Marlie and I today.
