Got to bag these two peaks with Snow Leopard. Trail well packed after Saturday's snowfall. After much travel during the day, trail was very fast on the descent - hard packed - bareboot was fine. If you can get out there before the next rain and melting you will have a lot of fun. We barebooted up to the base of the South Peak. Used snowshoes w/ televators to ascend South Hancock. Doing the South first ended up being a good decision. It had more icy patches and the North peak descent was in perfect shape for glissading. Between the peaks was a really nice snowshoe. |
