Comments
Comments: Didn't take snowshoes but wished I had. Due to the warm temps, everything down low was like walking in mashed potatoes. Snowshoes would have helped. Up the steeper section to the cabin and beyond was enough powdery snow that snowshoes would have been good there also. Got by okay with spikes. Had to ditch the spikes on the way down due to a continued collection of snowballs on the bottoms from the sticky snow. Maybe Cabot is the only peak with powder at the top right now. No ice to worry about other than on the access road, which was very icy and required cautious driving.
