| Comments: |
Warm (47) at start but 27 on summit with winds. The trail starts out being slushy and spring like up to the viewpoint. There was water running on the trail over an ice dome in this section. Above the viewpoint the snow got very good. Was all packed powder (still some ice beneath) the rest of the way. We went up the eastern side to the summit and there were some tricky icy spots. Almost all were in light traction though you could have easily been in snowshoes above the view if you like the stability. Great day out with Karen. |
