Awesome trip up Flume via Lincoln woods and Osseo trails. Need traction (I used my hillsounds) from the get go as Lincoln woods trail is one big ice fest. First mile of Osseo is mostly ice as well, then changes to granular snow, but it's not deep. About 1/2 from the summit I changed into snowshoes as some of the drifts were fairly deep and I was getting tired. From the meeting with Flume slide tall to the summit is icey, but easy with light traction. Beautiful day up there! |
