Comments
Comments: A frigid day to do the Tripyramids, and by a non-standard route. A few inches of light powder lay over a thin but solid base along the whole route, spikes were the tool of choice, too bony for snowshoes, though crampons would have been nice for the steep descent off the ridge on Sabbaday Brook. Light winds all day, even on the ridge, and bright sunshine until the afternoon. Temps were probably only in the mid-single digits until we got off the ridge. Bring crampons for Sabbaday Brook Trail (ascending or descending), it's icy at the top! Great day out with Jake.
