| Comments: |
Bare booted the road walk in about 3 inches of powder, switched to crampons TH to TH. Snow depth, loose powder, increased to between 4 and 10 inches as we approached the summit. It snowed lightly during the day increasing by the hike out with the winds picking up. No VFTT. Snowshoes will be needed after the next snow dump. Thanks to Mike, Diane and their puppy Brian for a pleasant hike. Passed the hut caretaker pulling a sled for the start of his shift as we walked out. Also, we passed a large group of high school students on their way out after a stay at the hut. |
