 | Comments: |
We started with a short road to the Little Mt. Deception trail, which leaves the road between sites 3 and 4. The trail was flagged close to the road and was easy to follow. We used light traction, which stayed on until be neared the summit of Mt. Deception. From little Deception, we followed the north ridge to a sub-peak. From there, we bushwhacked to deception. We had good woods except one thick fur wave and some tight and steep woods just below the western sub peak. Higher up, snowshoes were best. Getting to the east peak was fairly easy going, as we skirted some blow-down areas, but otherwise took a direct line. We returned by the same route, enjoying some fine views from Little Deception around sunset.
Thanks Emma for coming up for this one. |
