Comments
Comments: Wore microspikes all day. thanks to the folks who wore snowshoes yesterday from the hut to Mt. Bond, there is now a great smooth trail and I cruised along it. Got a dusting to 1 inch of snow during the day. It was sleeting on West Bond and when we were on the ridge. Someone postholed all along the Bondcliff trail from beginning to Mt. Bond. those holes are now frozen solid. Although I made it with my microspikes I had to do some creative climbing to get to the summit of West Bond and also felt that I would have done better on the ridge with Hillsounds or crampons. There is now a solid base up there with about 1 inch of fresh powder. Lots of ice on the ridge and at top of West Bond.
