| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Just an inch of snow in the lot and I was the only car. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
On the way up I used the herd path around the first crossing because I was too lazy to put on traction. It was easily rock hopped on the way out. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There was a ton of dead fall. I picked up a zillion sticks and cut out a couple of tree tops |

| Comments: |
I would guess an inch of new snow down low and 2 up high. I even saw tiny little drifts. It was probably dirt on the first section of trail before the snow today. There was some tricky ice hiding under the snow in the section that is all rocky in the hardwoods. Light traction handled it fine. After resting rock, the trail was in very nice shape and really fast hiking. There was a spot or two on the last .2 that was pretty icy. It will be fine once the snow bonds to the ice but some would have wanted cramptons to descend. |
