Comments
Comments: An easy winter 48! STK is an icy sidewalk pretty much all the way up. Spikes needed. Very little snow down low, maybe an inch. Up higher maybe 6-8 inches if you step off the trail. No views for the second time doing this trip. :) From the Waumbek outlook I switched to snowshoes and continued along the KRT, breaking trail to the east knob of Waumbek out of curiosity. Not much there either. ;) If anyone follows my tracks, they wander. The KRT was difficult to follow. Back at the outlook I switched back to spikes for the descent. A lot of melting had occurred since I came up, resulting in some muddy areas.
