Comments
Comments: Another very nice winter day with temps from 20 to 40 with high overcast clouds. Breezy at times on Franconia Ridge Trail but not cold at all. Packed snow on trail to treeline with snowdrifts in places above treeline. Above treeline there is a mix of snow, ice and rock on the trails but it is easy to find good footing. I used microspikes for good traction on the ice and packed snow. Poles helpful also. Saw about 40 hikers today on this out and back hike. Another great day in the Whites.
