Comments
Comments: I did not know it was possible to have a perfect day on Mt. Moosilauke especially in the winter, but we had one. The temperature was in the mid-30s, not a cloud in the sky, and no wind!

We used snowshoes all day, but light traction is probably all that is needed as the trail is compacted enough. Both the Gorge Brook Trail and Carriage Road are in good shape and very easy gradual trips to or from the summit. This is a pretty easy trip, but has quite a bit of exposure depending on the trail you take so keep an eye on the weather and expect the worse.
