| Comments: |
Unknown Pond Trail had some muddy sections, but generally in good shape (though a bit overgrown in places). Took Kilkenny Ridge Trail east past height of land, then bushwhacked to Unknown Pond Peak in a very nice birch glade all the way to the cannister. In general, Kilkenny Ridge Trail was fairly dry from this section all the way to the Bulge. A bit muddy in Bulge-Cabot col, but not too bad. Horn Spur and scrambles were dry. Bushwhacked to the talus field on side of Cabot - tremendous views. Bunnell Notch Trail was muddy in spots. Logging road portion was recently brushhogged and fairly dry. |
