| Comments: |
Did the loop clockwise - snowshoes from the car to south peak then micros on the way out - micros would have been ok for the whole hike but we benefited from televators up north peak and across the ridge, drifting was minimal even in the usual places and with the strong winds today but there were still a few slightly deeper pockets of snow. Good butt sliding down from south peak, a few minor obstacles that were easily navigated around - north peak could be butt slid but there would be more obstacles (roots, rocks etc) to contend with. Overall the loop is very well packed and made for a quick trip today. Clouds rolled in so no views but again we saw no one all day - thanks Ali and Hannah for another great day. |
