Comments
Comments: Ammo was in good shape. Crampons might have been useful in a few spots but I managed to get around using my snowshoes all day, taking care at the icy spots. Winds were strong between the hut and Monroe but OK on the summit. Above treeline the trail was frozen snow/ice, styrofoam snow, and a few drifts. Winds on Washington we not too bad but picked up around Clay. Again on Jefferson the winds were OK. Hiker Ed had a group that came up the Jewel so it was well packed out for my descent. Thanks folks! No sun today but manageable winds make for a good day above treeline!
