Comments
Comments: After an easy road walk on 2"-3" of fresh powder we entered the trail that only had about 1" new snow due to the thick tall fir trees on the ridge. Once off the ridge and after the first crossing snow depth increased as we gained elevation. We broke trail all day in snow from 1"-2" at the ridge to nearly 12" at the junction with the Garfield Ridge Tr. The last quarter mile before the junction had it's usual drifting of about 15" in places. The summit was glazed over with little snow and the winds were moderate in the 20 to 30 mph range, but only on the summit. Thanks to Dave and Sandy for another fun, cold day.
