Comments
Comments: This was an excellent (and cold!) hike. It snowed all day. Microspikes worked great and were essential. By the end of the day, snowshoes could have even been appropriate. We started at the Depot and hiked to the A-Z trail to bag Tom. Then took Willey Range Trail for Field, and Willey. There were some short steep parts on the way back from Willey to Field that required an extra energy boost. We took the Avalon Trail back to the trailhead, and were really glad we decided not to ascend that way. It was pretty steep, and we decided to just slide down some parts, which was a lot of fun!
