Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Large and plowed -- thanks, much appreciated!
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Standing/Running Water on Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We did just the upper crossing of Rocky Branch, and it was frozen over nicely. The usual wet spots had to be negotiated on RBT and IT.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Quite a few leaners on Isolation Trail (East) as it nears Davis Path, in the wind zone section, will become "fun" if we ever get a significant dumpage of white stuff.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Percy seemed happy.
Bugs
Bugs:
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found lots and lots of pink litter on the bushwhack section, in designated wilderness no less. Sigh...

Comments
Comments: In the end snowshoes were the way to go, IMO. We wore them car to car. Lower RBT was a bit bony, but snow deepened higher up. We had quite a beautiful snowshoe track going, especially in the bushwhack section... until 7 barebooters following us chopped it up a bit. They were behind us so unfortunately the track will set up (freeze) that way. Oh well... "Bushwhack" thru the birches so lovely!

Views from the summit were *stunning* this day, and wind was nonexistent! Sky had an interesting metallic hue which made for great light.
