Just got to the summit with blue skies before the clouds rolled in. Wonderful snow cover on all tree branches and summit scrub. Excellent 360 views. Although we didn't go to Webster, we could see that the entire loop is broken out. Microspikes were adequate. Saw a few hikers in snowshoes doing fine but the trail was packed and spikes worked well. Excellent start for two friends new to winter hiking. Fed the Gray Jays on the way down. Kestrel data: T=10F W=12 WC= -9F |
