We used snowshoes to the hut and spikes the rest of the way. Valley Way is well packed now. Above tree line spikes were fine. Day started fine but by the time we reached the hut summits were in fog. Not much snow above tree line so the cairns were visible (with care) in the fog. Nice to meet Tom who is completing his winter list. For Cronin 32 SSW48 and I am 25. |
