Comments
Comments: Started hike at west terminus of York Pond Rd. at 8:45. Summit at 11:30 and back to car by 1:45. Steady increase in wintry environment as elevation increased. Last mile towards the summit was 2-3" of powder, packed on trail. Breezes finally made themselves felt last 1/4 mile, softshell and gloves were enough, as long as you were moving. I put micro spikes on for the downhill, good peace of mind but probably only necessary until the Bunnell Notch/Kilkenny Ridge intersection. Good hike.
