Ice covered with about 5-6 inches of new snow on arrival at Livermore parking.
Quick plow job when we left. |

Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts |

No big crossings for us to encounter but they were running wide open. |

A couple of leaners and step overs, but easily manageable |

| Comments: |
Started with snowshoes to make a trail. Easy breaking through light powder. Used snowshoes on the steeps, with good traction on breakable crust under the snow. Some icy spots and were able to get around. I've seen worst. Also used snowshoes to and back from middle peak. Swapped to traction for decent of North Peak. Need more snow for good butt sliding.
Cold and windy along the ridge. Finally felt like winter. Great day out with Bill C.,Schorman and Lady Di. |
