Road from Fish Hatchery to parking area is rutted and hard ice. Drive slowly. All wheel drive or 4x4 handy. |

Small crossings good with a big jump. Major crossing on old logging road is ice covered with running water under ice. Walk on it with care. |

Trail in great shape considered previous warming and rain. |

Nice day for hiking today. Trails are hard packed with ice and crust. Made first tracks on a light dusting of new snow. Only ones out from York Pond. Partly sunny with little wind. 7 Degrees when we started, warmed to lower 20's with light snow coming out. Great day out with Sandy Price. |
