| Lost and Found: |
Found a backpack lodged in a fallen tree across the North Branch of the Gale River. I brought it home with me, everything inside was pretty frozen as it had been in the water, haven't yet found any identification, etc. If anybody knows anything about it, please email me and I'd be happy to help get it back to its owner. |

Nice day to be out, not too cold, at least until I took my gloves off! Likely because of the rain the previous day, there were all sorts of places where a boot would break through what looked like snowy dry trail into slushy water - if your boots weren't decently waterproof, today would have been a bad day to find that out, haha. Originally had planned to head over to the Twins as well, but not knowing how bad the snow would continue to be up top and considering the predicted winds and gradually falling temps, I contented myself with Galehead, my original destination. Passed one hiker today around 2 pm, on his way up. |
