Comments
Comments: The Bonds-Zealand-Hale traverse is about the easiest I've ever encountered in calendar winter. Could have barebooted the entire hike this day but opted for micros across Bondcliff. Spectacular day up there--crisp, clear blue skies and views to everywhere. Wind was quite brisk above treeline; crossing Bondcliff was somewhat exciting! Got pushed around but not knocked over. Poles helped.

Lend-A-Hand was a bit of a slog at day's end, but with conditions this nice, it had to be done! Lots of critter tracks on Hale Brook Trail to entertain. Started by headlamp at 5 am, finished before dark. Incredible alpenglow on Presies as seen thru trees on Zealand Road. Just wow!

Nice running into K and B up there, and no one else.
Huge thanks to Fancypants for the dropoff & pickup. :)
