Comments
Comments: Entire route well packed out - the herd path from the end of the cul-de-sac was a bit lumpy but not too bad. We wore micros from car to car - parts were probably barebootable but we were faster with spikes and there were icy patches here and there the whole way so we never bothered to change out - not enough fresh snow anywhere for snowshoes. This route should continue to be a good cruise until the expected precip comes this weekend. A few sets of tracks on C-M towards Imp shelter, one set on Kenduskeag towards Rattle River and surprisingly just a faint trench but no recent tracks on C-M towards Mt. Surprise. Bit gusty on the ridge but fantastic views all day. Saw one large group also enjoying the day, otherwise had the trails to ourselves - thanks Ali and Hannah for another great day!
