Oh yeah, the skiers are back! We got lucky and were able to park in the 2nd row from the trail head. We put our spikes on in the parking lot and kept them on the whole time. I'm sure one could climb bare-booted, but we prefer the ease of climbing on packed snow with spikes. Definitely no need for snowshoes. The entire trail is covered in packed snow, and it was a quick climb up and down. There are a handful of bare rocks in places, and the "stairs" on the trail are somewhat still there, but will probably disappear with the next snowfall. |
