Most of these trails had been previously broken out by bareboot traffic, which is the only reasonable choice (vs. snowshoes) since there is only about 4-6 inches of frozen slushy snow and lots of rocks still sticking out. I would assume this to be the case for most Belknap range trails now, though I noticed Belknap was covered in fresh snow up high on the trees from last night. |
