I always think that breaking trail after the first snow is difficult as rocks and other obstacles are not completely covered. Today did not disappoint. We used snowshoes all the way in and up North and across the ridge to South then switched to spikes for the descent down South which was slow going as there was ice under the snow. We spiked out. So the track is a little choppy but there really was not enough snow for snowshoes both ways. No views today but it snowed all day. Another great day with Lori and Rachel and their fried Tara. |
