Comments
Comments: No more than about 3 inches of snow down low, and maybe 5" maximum up high. Snow fairly dense so no drifting. Definitely not enough snow for snowshoes, unless you want to chew them up on the exposed rock. Spikes (micros or HH) adequate, but were balling up. Crampons didn't ball up, but not really enough snow/ice depth or hardness for them; and they often would not set flat due to underlying rock, so one had to take care to avoid ankle twisting. The conditions made for a longer day than expected, but still a great time out in the woods.
