My dog, who usually doesn't hike with me during the winter, happily handled today with ease (no snow). |

Found a blue leash while heading up Lafayette between the hut and the steep summit cone ascent. I picked it up and meant to bring it down...then I accidentally left it on top of Lincoln. |

Very little ice and no snow made this day feel like early October instead of late December.
We saw so many hikers today! Lots of cool people and familiar faces/trail names.
Rain, sleet, and snow are on their way, so these trails are going to look a lot different very, very soon. |
