Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings were running high and strong. First Avalon Trail crossing I bushwhacked 50 ft down stream and used a big boulder and submerged rock to cross. Second Avalon Trail I carefully used fallen trees to cross. Both crossings on A to Z Trail were easily crossed.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A fairly new blowdown blocks Mt Tom Spur early on but is easy to step over. I cleared some debris from stream near A to Z trail which was causing the trail to be flooded.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw no dogs, a lot of ice on Willey Ridge Trail though.

Comments
Comments: Took advantage of this spring-like day to do a loop of Willey Ridge mountains. Lots and lots of mud and water in the trails and there was still plenty of ice above 4000 feet. I got to Willey without using traction but slipped early on decent and then put my traction on. Trail between Field and Tom was basically a stream with submerged ice, traction was definitely required to stay on trail. I will be posting about this hike on my blog (link below).
