Water Crossing Notes: With low water levels the numerous water crossings were easy.

Trail Maintenance Notes: On the flat section of the Flume Slide Trail the vegetation is encroaching in places -- a little trimming would be appreciated by hikers here.

Bugs: Few of those nasty critters today, even with low wind.

Comments: Even in today's cool/dry weather the upper section of the Flume Slide Trail is every bit as treacherous as described in the AMC Guide: steep, slippery and precarious footing.

Except for a few muddy or slippery-rock sections, most of the three trails were dry.
