Jefferson Notch Road still open. Second car in. Road was fine with light dusting of snow. One car and small school bus when I left at 1:30. |

No dogs today. Might have been tough scrambling for them. |

No bugs but saw teenagers in running shoes, short sleeves and one with no shirt on near top of Upper Cap! |

Caps Ridge up; Loop, Gulfside, Cornice & Caps Ridge down
It was as perfect a day above the fog line. A couple of inches of snow and rime ice on the rocks above the Caps made for pretty good going with micro spikes, for me anyway. Looked like two hikers had come over from Adams and continued over toward Washington. I hated to descend back into the fog and considered heading over to the Jewell Trail to go down and then Boundary Line Trail but didn't look forward to the walk but up Jefferson Notch Road to the parking lot so I settled for a short loop on Gulfside and Cornice. Hope everyone made it down ok. Might have been the last good day of the summer...
