Comments
Comments: Basin bushwhack nice and dry with a good coating of leaves to Liberty Spring Trail. Liberty Spring Trail wet in the usual places, but not really icy/snowy until the steep section to the tentsite. Put on microspikes right around the 1/4 mile sign to the tentsite and left them on until back in the same place or a little lower. Trail is a mixture of soft ice, snow and some slushy snow due to warm temps. Easier going with traction than without. Summits of Liberty and Flume mostly rock with hardly any ice. Another mild December hike and great day out with the husband.
