Met a trail maintainer on Dicey's Mill, who was doing an A+ job cleaning waterbars. A few stepovers and leaners on Rollins. |

Down low, trail was amazingly dry for mid December (and amazingly warm!). Blueberry Ledges were wet but mostly ice free. Still, there were the usual interesting spots. We put on spikes on top of last ledge because ice became more prevalent between there and about 1/2 mile beyond Mt. Whiteface proper. Wore them for about a mile. Couldn't think of a good enough reason to climb Passaconaway... so we didn't! Dicey's Mill was a joy, especially enjoying the efforts of the trail maintainer. Actually saw blue sky and limited views up on Rollins even though most of the north country was fog-land. Great G2 hike with Fancypants. |
