Long sections of ice and crusty snow. Of course shortly after removing my microspikes, I slipped on the last remaining slick patch and landed on my butt.
More of a highlight was meeting Rick again- he was behind me 2 days ago on Zealand and the Bonds, and I was a bit behind him today. Gridiots! We should have carpooled!
Beautiful cloudless day, warmer than forecast, a bit windy on the observation platform. |
