| Comments: |
Trail is in good shape. Light snow cover through the fields until the trail enters the woods at junction with Hurricane trail. The no snow for about three quarters of a mile. Then light snow cover for the rest of the climb; sections in the middle altitudes have been through thaw/refreeze cycles and thus footprints have turned into ice (light traction is very helpful here). Summit cone is mostly dry of snow and ice, and ice is avoidable by walking on rocks. This weekend's warm weather has melted off all the rime ice from trees. |
