| Comments: |
Mostly wet leaves until about the point where Liberty Spring and Flume Slide trails split. From there on, it was mostly snow that will continue to melt with the warmer temps. I put on microspikes at the first steep point in the trail and kept them on until coming back down. Some were going without traction, but I definitely needed it. The snow is not deep at any point on the trail, but the melting and freezing at night will continue to make the trail slippery. The summit was amazing.. low clouds rolling in over Kinsman ridge and Mt. Garfield in the distance. Perfectly clear, blue skies overhead. Great day to get out for a hike! |
