Comments
Comments: Small patches of ice to about 3000 ft. Then solid stretches of ice and packed snow to the mizpah cutoff. From the cutoff to the jct. of the Webster-Cliff Tr. Packed snow and ice. To Eisenhower and over to Monroe and back a mixture of bare sections, packed snow, and drifts up to 24" deep. Light traction was the order of the day. We wore micro-spikes the whole traverse. Others without traction were moving very slowly and carefully. Beautiful sunny day with temps on Monroe in the lower 40's and very little wind. Great day hiking with Steve M.(Teufelhund), Steve R. and B. Schorman.
