Comments
Comments: John and I left the parking lot at the 19 Mile Brook trailhead at 8:30 AM and reached the summit of Mt. Hight at 11:30. We ate lunch on a nifty ledge hanging over Carter Notch on the Carter Dome Trail. We then visited the hut and hiked back out on the 19 Mile Brook trail. Reached the car a little before 4:00.
Saw quite a few other hikers, nearly all either leaving the Carter Notch Hut or going to it.
Weather was excellent. The sky was mostly clear, with some nifty clouds, and the temps were comfortable, except on top of Mt. Hight, where the wind was very strong, perhaps as much as 40 MPH.
