| Comments: |
Today was unseasonably warm, so there was lots of standing water and mud. However, this will probably all be iced over as soon as the temps drop again. We brought micro spikes but didn't use them; probably in your best interest to bring them just in case. There were still areas of light ice that we were able to walk around. Great easy start/end to this hike, but pretty brutal ascent up the North peak in the upper section of Hancock Loop Trail (last .7) and very steep descent down first .5 miles from summit of South peak. Lots of people out today, great day for a hike! |
