Comments
Comments: Nice winter preview hike up to Garfield. Fall conditions on first mile or so of trail along with some frozen mud. Snow and ice appeared about half way up the trail, light traction helpful through the iciest section. Snow depth increased getting close to the Garfield Ridge Trail. Garfield Ridge Trail easier with the snow since the areas around the rocks are starting to fill in. There were some patches of ice and snow over ice, nothing light traction couldn't handle.
