I agree with Franco's report from 11/19 regarding some blowdowns on Falling Waters that are passable now, but could require removal or rerouting during snow season. |

Franco's more recent trip report (from Wed. 11/19) closely matches my experience from 11/17, but I wanted to add a note. I went in the opposite direction, descending Falling Waters in the afternoon. There is indeed a very icy section at the top of FW trail, but in the afternoon, it was not bare-bootable, as Franco had probably found it in the morning (this was perhaps due to some melting, making it more slick?). The sections on either side of the hut were quite icy, requiring spikes, as well (as Franco noted). |
