There's a dead tree about to fall on the trail by the intersection with Sosman Trail. Looks like it's going to come down any minute...hopefully, not on a hiker. |

We took our 'spikes but never used them. A dusting of snow begins about a quarter of the way up, but it was never more than half an inch deep. It was debatable whether the 'spikes would be a help or a hindrance, so we never used them. Others might have made a different choice, so I'd bring them if I were you and make the call when you actually see what you're dealing with. |
