| Comments: |
It was drizzly for our entire hike, and the rocks were very slippery. Leaves were quite deep, and very wet, especially down low. Watch out for hidden slippery rocks and roots buried under the leaves! There was trace/avoidable ice on the last stretch of trail before coming up to the boulders at the top. It was windy, wet, and completely overcast, so we didn't spend any time at the top. We've been up this mountain 2X, both in the fall, and both times wearing boots. I cannot wait to climb the ledges on a dry summer day wearing trail runners! The ledges are made for trail runners. We were alone on the mountain today. |
