Comments
Comments: Much less ice on the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail than when I first attempted this hike on 10/11, and had to turn around for lack of traction near the top of the trail.

I had my microspikes with me this time, but never needed them. What little ice remained was easily avoided. The only somewhat adverse condition was strong winds while hiking up and over Monroe and Eisenhower.

There was some minor dampness and muddiness in several sections of the route I took whenever I was below the tree line, but nothing serious.
