Starr King Trail |

| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Second car in today. Easiest to park facing out... Road is significantly rutted and the leaves hide it so GO SLOW or you will bottom out. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
None on this trail. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in great shape. A few blow downs but nothing unmanageable. A little erosion here and there too but all in all a great trail. Leaves are the only issue as they are plentiful and slippery. Can't do much about those. ;) |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Lil' Nugget had a great hike as did the two other dogs. It's an easy one for dogs. The spring provides some water on the ridge to Starr King but you may want to bring some extra too. |
| Bugs: |
None... Nada... Zip. Gone south. |
| Lost and Found: |
Nothing... Trail is clean! |

| Comments: |
Given the rain, wind, and snow showers, this was a perfect choice to stay in the trees. Trail is steady but gradual incline to the summit of Starr King and then a few ups and downs to Waumbek. 5 hours round trip for us. A great afternoon! |
